Abortion is not a religious decision...

Abortion should be legal and never of any interest to any government agency, either financially or morally.   The decision to have an abortion is one that should be made only by the mother and father after careful consideration and consultation with their doctor, not some agency or priest/pastor.

This is not a religious issue it is a world health issue!  We already have too many children being born in the world today and therefore we do not need to bring any unwanted children to a planet that no longer can afford to feed the ones we have or provide the necessary schools, transportation, jobs, clean air and safe water.  But abortion should not be a willy-nilly choice....just because one or both people don't want a kid.  However, because they don't want it, abortion should be an available choice at least.

Now, abortion decisions should not be made just because two people were too stupid to understand birth control.  Birth Control must be taught in all schools, regardless of their mission statement or origin.   Parents are obviously are not doing their job as 1 million teenage girls become pregnant each year in the United States, so that leaves it up to the schools to make it part of their mandatory curriculum.

It is also important to be sure the same girl and/or guy are not responsible for another pregnancy after the first one, so mandatory sterilization should be enforced so no more "mistakes" can happen.   Now I am not saying that an abortion in a proper family should require sterilization if the abortion decision is made to safeguard the health of the mother; no just in those situations where the pregnancy has been caused by stupidity.   These type of people should not be allowed to reproduce more of their kind.  Married people must know about birth control and so there should be no need for abortion after, say one or two children have been born as that number should satisfy their egos and bragging rights.  Birth control is so simple, safe and easy nowadays, not to practice it indicates you must have the I.Q. of a house plant or some ill-founded or warped religious ideas.

Education/birth control training are the important words here and it is something we must do quickly before another 10 million unwanted teen pregnancies happen in the next ten years.  Remember, every child born today will be a teenage driver in 16 short years, drinking our ever decreasing clean water supply, breathing our increasingly foul air, demanding food from fields no longer growing anything because they are sub-divisions and adding their own rug-rats to our overcrowded school systems.

So, let's all get educated and maybe abortion will no longer be necessary except in health related situations...but all but the "back-alley" types should be legal.
