Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009 has to be the most manical piece of legislation put before Congress in decades. Adolph would have loved it!
The Brady Campaign and others of
their ilk, have to be the most uniformed group of people that walk upright and
have the ability to speak a formal language, on this planet. They seems to be
willing to totally ignore the fact that "criminals" do not
obey laws, that is why they are called "criminals".
DUH! (noun: One who has committed or been
legally convicted of a crime.)
However, that truism does not deter these
types of liberals from continuing to try to impose their warped sense of values
onto law-abiding citizens. If you manage to get their attention for a moment,
ask them how keeping law-abiding Americans from protecting themselves and their
loved ones from muggers, rapists, gangs, etc., will affect the crime rate?
Now, be aware that liberals are totally confused by facts, because it blows
holes in every argument they have. Their unfounded and incorrect assumptions
can never stand up to the light of the truth. So, they tend to speak in
general terms and when you show them that they are wrong, usually the response
is something like "...well that is irrelevant..." or they try to turn your
question around by answering your question with their question...thereby
avoiding having to give you a direct response.
The crime rate in America is down
wherever law-abiding citizens are allowed to own weapons of self-defense. No
ifs, ands or buts...it is a simple provable fact! End of argument...end of
discussion. Where there are restrictive laws, here and around the world, crime
is up because criminals, even the dumber ones, know it is safer to rob someone
who is unarmed. If a potential house break-er-inner is looking at two
houses sitting side by side, trying to decide where to rob, which one do you
think he will choose? - The one with a sign on the door that reads: "WE DO NOT
CALL 911!" or one that has a "I LOVE LIBERALS poster in the front yard? I
suspect even today's uneducated high-school students know the answer to this
one.
A statement I really like is the one that
says: "I CARRY A GUN BECAUSE A COP IS TOO HEAVY!" If you do not believe in
protecting yourself or your family, then that is your choice. But don't get
indignant when the police don't get there in time, just keep hitting the
criminal with your floor mop!....that oughta scare the hell out of
him!
The 2nd Amendment is the second one
written because it protects the First Amendment. George Mason in the
constitutional debate of 1788 wrote: "...to disarm the people - that is the
best and most effectual way to enslave them." This was the credo of Hitler,
Mussolini, Stalin, Hussein, Castro, Pol Pot, Kim Jong and other dictators. If
Barack Hussein Obama gets his way the Constitution will be rendered ineffective
in just 4 years. He has a rubber-stamp Congress now so there is no stopping his
path to Kingship.
When they took the 4th Amendment, I was quiet because I didn't
deal drugs.
When they took the 6th Amendment, I was quiet because I am
innocent.
When they took the 2nd Amendment, I was quiet because I don't own
a gun.
Now they have taken the 1st Amendment, and I can only be quiet.
